Glad to have your attention! We are EWAC Medical, family-owned and global market leader in custom-made equipment for water-based patient rehabilitation, or hydrotherapy. Our specialists support customers worldwide from the very first design phase, through to installation, commissioning and maintenance. There is of course (much) more to say about this, and we would like to do so in a further introductory interview with you, HBO or higher education graduate in structural engineering, installation engineering or (mechanical) engineering. EWAC employs around 15 people. The culture is personal, informal, innovative and hands-on. Due to increasing demand for our products, we are looking for:
Mechanical Engineer (m/f), 38 hours per week, location Heerhugowaard
What will you do?
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design and draw various structures or installations for EWAC Medical, such as motion devices, modular pools and movable floors. SolidWorks is mainly used for modeling and drawing. In addition, you are responsible for the entire drawing package and ensure that all required parts are entered into the ERP system. A number of products also contain electronic/IT components that can be assembled independently or together. You are a member of a project team and work together to complete the entire process from idea to final product. You will create functional and technical specifications for new projects and perform feasibility studies. This includes performing calculations, including FEA. Setting up, training and supervising new projects are all part of your duties.
Within each project the work is varied. You have regular contact with suppliers about the status of new developments.
Sometimes we will ask you to accompany our team on site during the installation of a project you have overseen. You may also be required to travel to the construction site to perform a pre-inspection in preparation for the installation of our equipment or to provide input into the engineering process. Our customers are located all over the world.
Do you identify with this job opening?
We are looking for someone with 5 to 10 years of work experience in a similar position. Furthermore, we ask the following from the right candidate:
- You have experience in working with Solid Works (3d), and can get along with Autocad
- You have experience with ERP systems and a good feeling for automation
- You preferably have experience with Solidworks PDM You have a completed education at Bachelor level (or higher) in a technical direction (preferably Mechanical Engineering)
- Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language
- A background in a project organization is an advantage
- Preferably living in the region
