Carrie Lam, Chief executive of Hong Kong, officiated at the opening ceremony of Haven of Hope Hospital in Hong Kong on June 15, 2022.
She said that besides rehabilitation room inside this building, there is also hydrotherapy pool, which is especially for those who have back pain, knee pain as well as lower back pain joint problems patients to provide training – “Actually I also have pain on these few areas, perhaps one day, I will have to come to this hydrotherapy pool.” (Source: GovHK)
The Aquatic Therapy rehabilitation area of the hospital holds a 8 by 4,5 m EWAC Medical modular pool with overflow gutters, equipped with the following equipment:
- Underwater window
- Underwater treadmill
- Counter current opposite to the treadmill
- RGB lighting
- Underwater massage station
- Air massage station
The installation of this EWAC Medical pool has taken place right in the middle of the Covid-19 crisis, when travelling to Hong Kong was impossible. Thanks to our very well established co-operation with our distributor in Hong Kong, Medical Technologies, the pool has been installed by local personnel with lots of online support.
